Alio Modo

Alio Modo is a newly-founded early music ensemble based in Madrid.

Our ensemble was created on the principle of exploring new manners of performance, allowing the great works of the past to be heard in “another way”. The recontextualisation of the classical music canon in the present is essential for allowing this artform to continue living and breathing. We believe strongly in the power music has to unite people, in the first place as it has united the various members of this ensemble from all over the world, working towards a shared mission of embracing the creative spirit of the epoch.
